Our Pastor

Rev. Charles A. Brown was installed as the 16th pastor of the congregation in September 2008. Prior to accepting the call to Rose Point, he served for six years as the minister of the Westminster RPC in suburban Chicago. A native of Western Pennsylvania, Pastor Brown holds degrees from Slippery Rock University and the Reformed Presbyterian Theological Seminary.

Pastor Brown is married to Miriam, and they have two daughters, Annie and Dora.

Our History

Organized on April 12, 1834, as the "Slippery Rock Branch" of the Reformed Presbyterian Church, the church changed its name to "Rose Point" in 1928. Our first church building was constructed in 1838, and our present brick building was erected in 1868.

By God's grace over the years, we have remained theologically and liturgically conservative. In doctrine, we hold to the Westminster Confession of Faith of 1647. In worship, we sing the Psalms of David exclusively, without instrumental accompaniment.

You are invited to join us in our service to the Lord God Almighty!
